History of Valja Maternity Wear Aps.
Valja was founded in december 1972 by mother and daughter, Valborg and Sonja. From these 2 persons the name ( Val - ja ) Valja.
In the first years, Valja was located in the center of Aalborg. But soon bigger locations was needed so they moved to new locations. Again in 1996 the need for more space came, so Valja moved to the location in Aalborg where the company is now located.
In the period from 1972 to 1985, Valja was run by the family of Valborg and Sonja together with around 30 marchinists plus some who sewed at home. In 1985 one of the leading family members got sick, and Valja got new owners. In 1989 Valja´s owner cirkle was increased to its present owners today.
Valja has through the years formed an international company producing maternity wear. With Agents and sale in most European countries.
Production was in the start 90 moved to Polen to be able to compete on the international market. In 2005 Valja established its own production factory in Ukraine under modern facilities.
Valja has in Denmark competent and stillfull employees who takes care of design, product development, purchase, stocks and administration.
Today, Valja´s products are sold under the brands : Tete-à -tete by Valja, which stands for classic, fashionable and quality maternity wear. And the Brand Tobe by Valja which line apeals to the younger and price conscious consumer. By sale of Valja´s maternity models, an informative and professional guidance is important. Therefor, our products are mainly sold though specialised maternity shops and smaler chains who knows the special demands for maternity wear.
Valja´s aim is to produce and market maternity wear under carefull consideration to the natural and human envionment.
